Magicians Penn & Teller Get Star On Walk Of Fame

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — It was a magical day Friday when illusionists Penn & Teller gtt their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Fellow celebrity magician David Copperfield and "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were on hand as the duo is honored with the 2,494th star for their achievement in the category of Live Performance.

In a career spanning over 35 years, Penn Jillete and the almost always silent Teller have taken their comedic magic act everywhere from Broadway to Hollywood, with Emmy-winning TV specials and series on Showtime and Discovery Channel, and appearances on "Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Friends" and "The Simpsons."

The star - which is located near that of famed magician Harry Houdini - comes just one day before The Magic Castle will honor Penn & Teller with the coveted "Magicians of the Year" Award.

The ceremony was held at 11:30 a.m. and was streamed live on the official Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
