Los Angeles police are following a driver wanted for burglary through the San Fernando Valley

The Los Angeles Police Department is following a driver wanted for burglary through the San Fernando Valley on Friday morning.

Police began pursuing the driver around 10:12 a.m. near Oxnard and Lankershim. 

Aerial footage of the pursuit showed the driver traveling at a high rate of speed on surface streets. Several times throughout the pursuit, the driver got onto the freeway and was swerving in and out of lanes.

At one point, the driver was going in the wrong direction while trying to get on the southbound 405 Freeway near Mission Hills.

The driver also stopped by an Arco gas station near Nordhoff Street and Haskell Avenue and pumped gas before traveling back on the street.
