Lee Scores 18 Points As UCLA Tops Oregon 67-59

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Malcolm Lee went 7 for 13 from the field and made three 3-pointers. Jerime Anderson also had three 3-pointers on the way to 15 points for the Bruins (11-6, 3-2 Pac-10), who went 9 for 24 from long distance and made five in the final 7:12.

E.J. Singler scored 15 points and Jeremy Jacob added 12 for the Ducks (8-10, 1-5), who were without leading scorer and rebounder Joevan Catron. The senior forward missed his third straight game with a strained calf muscle.

After trailing at halftime, the Bruins led for the final 9:12 following a 8-0 run that put them up 46-40.

Oregon came within two or three points of the lead on multiple occasions, but each time it seemed UCLA answered with a 3-pointer, including two by Lee.

Joshua Smith also scored 15 for the Bruins and Lazeric Jones scored 12.

The Ducks took a 25-13 with 5:55 to play in the first half following a 3-pointer by Garrett Sim that drew fist pumps from Oregon coach Dana Altman. Sim's shot capped a 16-3 run by the Ducks.

Jacob scored eight points during that stretch and Jay-R Strowbridge also made a 3-pointer.

But the Ducks scored just two more points in the half and the Bruins slowly picked away at the lead.

Jones scored on bank shots on consecutive possessions, Anderson followed with a 3-pointer and Lee scored inside with 53 seconds to play as UCLA cut Oregon's lead to 27-24 at the break.

Anderson tied the score at 32 early in the second half and Tyler Honeycutt gave UCLA the 34-32 lead on a bank shot with 15:09 to play.
