Crews Contain Large Blaze That Erupted Near Commercial Buildings In LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Crews were on the scene of a large outdoor fire Sunday that has erupted near commercial buildings in the Boyle Heights area.
According to officials, the fire broke out shortly after 1 p.m. in the 3700 block of Union Pacific Avenue.
Crews described the fire as a 50-by-25 pile of "baled goods" that briefly threatened structures near the Los Angeles County-Vernon boundary.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire within 30 minutes, authorities said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
