LAPD Searching For Driver Who Critically Injured USC Student In Hit-And-Run Accident
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver who critically injured a USC student in a hit-and-run accident.
The 21-year-old student was riding a motorcycle around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday near Vermont and Lexington avenues in East Hollywood when he was hit by a vehicle, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The student suffered numerous fractures in the accident.
The vehicle is described as a burgundy 1993 GMC Safari van with license plate 4MYH882. It was last seen heading west on Lexington Avenue, police said.
The driver is described as a male Latino, 35 to 45-years-old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 170 to 190 pounds, the LAPD said.
