LAPD On The Hunt For Sexual Predator Who Attacks Young Girls

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —   Detectives with the LAPD's Sexual Assault unit are hoping the public can help them nab a suspect who has preyed on children inside a clothing store and library.

Officials said on July 5, around 3 p.m., the suspect entered a clothing store in the south 400 block of Los Angeles Street in Los Angeles. The suspect is accused of walking up to a child and grabbing her buttocks with his right hand. Authorities said the suspect -- a black male about 30-40 years of age -- fled the location on foot.

The suspect is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and around 155 pounds. He was wearing a neon green tank top, baggy black shorts, multi-colored socks and black shoes. He also sports a large diamond stud earring in his left ear.

Police believe this suspect was involved in a  similar incident that occurred at the Los Angeles Public Library. The suspect approached a young girl in the children's section of the library and reached his hand between her legs. The young girl ran away,
