LAPD Detectives Probe Fatal Shooting In Mar Vista

MAR VISTA (CBSLA.com)   —  Detectives with the LAPD's Pacific area are investigating a fatal shooting of a man Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 6400 block of Purdue Avenue about 10:47 a.m.

When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.

A suspect was taken into custody.

Authorities believe the homicide was the result of a dispute.

An investigation is ongoing.
