LA Public Defender Arrested After Alleged Drunken Run-In With Police At San Francisco Airport
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles public defender was arrested after an alleged drunken run-in with police at San Francisco International Airport.
Police said Monica Jenkins, 37, refused a suggestion to sober up and take a later flight.
Instead, she allegedly demanded cocaine and then asked to be taken to jail.
She also reportedly screamed profanities, threatened to sue officers and sang the theme song from "Happy Days."
Prosecutors said Jenkins kicked an officer, as well.
The Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office has not commented on the incident.
