LA Air Quality Suffers This Summer
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Air quality in Los Angeles was in the unhealthful range throughout July, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
Air quality was in the healthful range only one day during the entire month.
AQMD puts the blame on hot, stagnant weather instead of emissions or other pollution sources.
Smoke advisories were issued several times in the LA area because of July wildfires.
A smoke advisory from the Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District was in effect throughout late June and July.
An air quality alert was issued for Saturday in the Santa Clarita Valley. People with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases were advised to stay inside.
