Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 20)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — While the marine layer is trying to work itself back into the Los Angeles basin, we are still looking at warm temperatures inland for Wednesday. Look for some cooling by the beach, though.

Thursday and Friday, the cooling becomes more pronounced as the on-shore flow strengthens, bringing gusty winds to the mountains.

Above the marine layer, there is a chance for some fire weather in mountain areas and the Antelope Valley. We'll watch for that over the next 24 hours.

Otherwise, look for some warmer weather over the weekend and into next week.

Coastal - mid to upper 70s
Basin - mid 80s
Valleys - upper 90s
Mountains - low 80s
Deserts - near 100
