Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 28)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It's springtime in winter for Southern California!

The warm weather continues as we turn the corner for the end of the week. High pressure continues to build, and while there are breezy conditions, we are staying below the advisory criteria for winds.

The dry, gusty, warm weather is doing a number on individuals who are suffering from allergies. Pollen levels are very high...and will remain elevated into the weekend.

But the big story everyone will be talking about, daytime highs in the mid 80s, maybe even close to 90 in some localized spots. We will be flirting with some records here and there around the area.

Saturday will be a transition day with more high clouds (temps will still be way above average). Then on Sunday we all will notice a significant cool down with a stronger on-shore flow. What initially looked like the possibility of moisture on Sunday has now dried up like most of the model runs this winter. So the dry weather will continue into the middle of next week.

Our next chance for rain would be Tuesday and Wednesday...but I'm not holding my breath.

Coast-upper 70s
Basin-low 80s
Valleys-low 80s
Mountains-low 50s
Deserts--upper 60s
