Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 22)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Look for another warm day inland today.

The atmospheric setup is very similar to yesterday's with just some patchy coastal clouds.

We've got mostly clear skies inland.

Our daytime highs will still hover slightly below average in the basin while the valleys will definitely be on the warmer side.

As we make our way into the weekend, there may be some slight cooling at first as the broad trough along the West Coast deepens ever so slightly, but it is short lived as warmer temperatures kick in on Sunday.

Sunday through Tuesday will be interesting days as we watch a fetch of tropical moisture that is pushing up into our area. There are two differing forecast models: one is very dry and the other could give us a healthy dose of precipitation.

We could end up with some wet, hot, and humid weather.

Basin - mid 80s

Beaches - mid 70s

Valleys - upper 90s

Mountains - upper 70s

Deserts - near 100
