Rancho Palos Verdes Community Debating Whether To Create Dog Park On Beach
RANCHO PALOS VERDES (CBS) — A section of Rancho Palos Verdes could officially be going to the dogs.
Residents and city council members discussed whether to make a certain area of the shoreline a dog beach.
Every day, dogs can be seen on- and off-leash along a five-acre stretch off the Rancho Palos Verdes cliffs.
While most in the community support the plan there's also been some very vocal opposition.
If city leaders approve a one year pilot program Tuesday night the beach below Trump National Golf Club would become the third legal dog beach in Los Angeles County.
