Authorities investigate police shooting in Gardena
Authorities are investigating a police shooting that took place in the parking lot of a plaza in Gardena early Tuesday morning.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said an officer-involved shooting took place near Rosecrans and Van Ness avenues.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting. The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner later confirmed that Alexandra Cordoba, 54, died from a gunshot wound.
