Husband And Wife Arrested After Her Gun Accidentally Goes Off And Shoots Him Inside Sam's Club
GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — A husband and wife were arrested Sunday after a gun in the wife's purse accidentally fired one bullet into the husband, according to police.
Robert Duncan, 48, and Helen Duncan, 50, were booked on suspicion of illegally possessing a concealed firearm without a permit, said Sgt. Mike Henderson of the Glendora Police Department.
The accidental shooting took place inside a Sam's Club located at 1301 S. Lone Hill Avenue, according to Henderson.
Police said the gun was being carried in the wife's purse and was discharged when it was dropped around 1:45 p.m., Henderson said.
Witnesses confirmed the gun accidentally discharged, said Glendora Police Captain Tim Staab.
Robert Duncan was taken to an area hospital and was later released.
