1 found dead after house fire in Granada Hills

A person is dead after a house caught fire in the Granada Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to authorities.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the blaze was reported at a single-family home at 8:06 a.m. on the 11600 block of N Swinton Avenue. 

Crews quickly extinguished the fire, the department said, but found a body inside the residence.

The person's identity was not immediately released.

The cause is under investigation, the LAFD said. It's unclear whether the person died as a result of the fire or under different circumstances.

No other injuries were reported, and the fire didn't spread to any other homes.
