Fire Crews Douse Blaze At Warehouse In Claremont

CLAREMONT ( — Fire crews on Monday afternoon  knocked down a second-alarm fire at a commercial building in Claremont that sent a massive plume of smoke into the air.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the fire burned at a one-story, 90,000-square-foot building in the 700 block of East Harrison Avenue.

Witnesses said they began to see smoke about 4 p.m.

About half of the building was scorched by flames, the Fire Department said.

The fire was declared a knockdown about 5:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
