M4.8 Quake Hits Death Valley; No Reported Damage

DEATH VALLEY (CBSLA) - A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday morning in Death Valley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Officials say the quake struck just after 10:30 a.m. near Stovepipe Wells in the northern edge of Death Valley.

A 2.8 aftershock was also recorded.

No damage was reported.
