Dodgers To Interview Ex-Angels OF Darin Erstad For Manager's Job

LOS ANGELES ( — The Los Angeles Dodgers have scheduled an interview with former Angels outfielder Darin Erstad regarding the team's managerial job.

For the last four years, Erstad has been the head baseball coach at the University of Nebraska, his alma-mater.

In his first managerial job, Erstad boasts a 139-97 record, and has taken his team to one NCAA tournament.

Erstad had a .282 career batting average, and totaled 124 home runs, 699 RBI's, and 179 stolen bases over his 14-year MLB career.

He led the league in hits in 2000 and was a three-time Gold Glove winner as well.

After playing for the Angels from 1996-2006, Erstad played for the Chicago White Sox in 2007, and played two years with the Houston Astros after that before retiring from the MLB.
