Dodgers Place OF Trayce Thompson On DL, Recall INF Zach Walters
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed outfielder Trayce Thompson on the 15-day disabled list with lower back irritation, and have recalled infielder Zach Walters from Triple-A.
Walters, 26, was acquired by the Dodgers in a deal with the Indians on April 10 and has spent the entire season with Triple-A Oklahoma City.
The Wyoming native was originally selected by the Diamondbacks in the ninth round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of San Diego.
In 82 Major League games for the Nationals (2013-14) and Indians (2014-15), he has hit 10 home runs, including seven with the Indians in 2014, while playing just 30 games.
Thompson's disabled list tenure is retroactive to July 10th.
