Detectives Investigate Apparent Murder-Suicide In Harbor
HARBOR (CBSLA.com) — Detectives with the the LAPD's Harbor division are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.
Around 8 a.m. Thursday, citizens in the area of Gaffey Street and 36th Street, discovered a male and female deceased inside of a van parked at the scenic overlook.
Detectives believe the suspect shot the female victim once and then turned the gun on himself.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the man and woman both dead at scene.
The victim is a 43-year-old Latina. Her name was withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
The suspect is described as a Latino. His name is also withheld pending notification of his family.
