Deadly Shooting Investigation Underway In Inglewood

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives Monday investigated the shooting death of a man in Inglewood.

The shooting was reported just before 9 p.m. Monday in the 4600 block of Imperial Highway, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned that an argument between two male suspects and a male victim had occurred.

During the argument, one of the suspects fired multiple rounds towards the victim, who ran westbound on Imperial Highway to the 11500 block of Eucalyptus Avenue where he collapsed.

Paramedics transported the man to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his torso.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Detectives described the suspects as two Hispanic men.

No further information was immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
