Chris Brown's Probation Progress Report Hearing Continued Into June
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Singer Chris Brown appeared in a Southland court room Friday afternoon for a probation progress report hearing stemming from a 2009 assault charge involving fellow singer and girlfriend, Rihanna.
The report was prepared in the wake of allegations that Brown failed to complete his 180 day community service sentence.
Prosecutors alleged in February that the singer failed to provide "credible, competent or verifiable evidence" that he finished his sentence.
The community service was part of a five-year probationary sentence after he pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in his car before a pre-Grammy party.
Brown last appeared in court with Rihanna by his side in February.
