With Oktoberfest celebrations in full swing across the Southland, you may be wondering what are some of the best spots to dine and enjoy German favorites? From sausage to giant pretzels, and of course, German beer, here are some top choices to feed the best festivals and feasts.

Modern Austrian cuisine is the keynote at BierBeisel Imbiss, a hip store-front enclave inside the Spring Arcade Building in DTLA's historic core. Chef Bernhard Maringer will be hosting two full days of authentic Oktoberfest eats from gourmet sausages to German and Austrian beer, giant pretzels, spaetzle, and knoedels on October 10th and 11th this year. Traditional, lederhosen-wearing dancers and other live entertainment, a 10 oz. beer, pretzels, and a BierBeisel Oktoberfest shirt are included in the $30 ticket price of admission.

An all-you-can-eat Oktoberfest buffet is the main attraction at this airy, modern Westside dining spot. Chalet Edelweiss offers Swiss-German dining delights such as white sausages, beef patties Frikadellen, Saurebraten, traditional whole pork shank, and spatzle with cheese and grilled onions for $28, starting at 6 pm. Modern, spacious, and just a few blocks from the Pacific, Abigaile is a brewery and organically-sourced new-American restaurant offering Oktoberfest-inspired dishes throughout the month. On October 8th, a 5-course, beer-paired German dinner includes sausages, smoked trout, sauerbraten and onion spatzle, or stop by on October 9th where a meet-up with the brewery's new head brewer and $4 pints throughout the evening will be offered. On October 18, Brewtopia takes over for an all-day fest which includes beer, BBQ, schnitzel, and potato salad with a roof-top ocean view. Ticket prices are just $35.
