The internationally-renowned classic ballet company, The Bolshoi Ballet, will conclude the season at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion from June 7 to June 10 performing a work that epitomizes the grandeur of this dance – "Swan Lake." In matinee shows at 2 p.m. and evening shows at 7:30 p.m., The Bolshoi Ballet will perform this piece that tells the story of a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer. The San Pedro City Ballet School (SPCB) will present "The Little Mermaid" on June 9th. This will be the company's spring recital to be performed at the Warner Grand Theatre. SPCB was founded in 1994 as a not-for-profit dance company serving the greater Los Angeles area. Its mission is to train dancers in the classical works and traditions. The Warner Grand Theatre opened to the public in 1931 and it has since continued to engage the community in the appreciation of the fine arts. The Agoura Hills Youth Ballet Theatre will present its original ballet "Alice in Wonderland" on June 24 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. This is the 10th annual production of this ballet, set to the music of American composer Leroy Anderson. This light and classical ballet should entertain all audiences, presenting beautiful displays of skills to the composition of a Disney staple.
