When you have a child or children, it should not come as a surprise that they're going to want to play, and play hard in many cases. With all the energy that little ones have, finding the time and place for them to unleash all that excitement can sometimes be difficult, especially with many parents working more hours than ever. That said, parents can turn to area facilities offering the best in games, miniature vehicles, jungle gyms and much more. If you are looking for a spot to inspire your kids, look no further than this location. Born in 1997 with spinal muscular atrophy, Shane Alexander Williams passed away two weeks after his birth. Though filled with grief, Catherine Curry-Williams and Scott Williams searched for a way to honor their son's life. Knowing that Shane's disability would have prevented him from playing on a playground with other children, Catherine, Scott, and close friend Tiffany Harris brought together friends, family and community leaders to build the very first Universally Accessible Playground in California; in 2000, they cut the ribbon on "Shane's Inspiration Playground" in LA's Griffith Park.

When it comes to fun, your child can have an awesome time at this facility. The Awesome Playground offers open play Monday through Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays closed for private parties. An all-day play pass is under $10, with 10 play passes available, too For those interested in a monthly membership, they offer that too. A monthly membership includes unlimited access to play during open play hours, outdoor obstacle course and slide, a discount on enrichment classes, and much more. There are also parent's night out on select Fridays.

If you're searching for a spot for your child to rock it, you have come to the right place. Rockin' Kids Burbank offers a setting of environmentally friendly and healthy encounters with their peers, along with the opportunity to hone their social, motor and learning skills. This indoor playground and party centers caters to making sure children learn and have fun at the same time. Rockin' Kids permits re-entry all day, so parents and their children may leave and come back on that same day for no additional cost (keep your receipt for re-entry).

Need a place for your child (and maybe even you) to escape to? The Great Escape Club is the perfect setting for those little ones under five years of age. Parents will find a variety of fun offerings for their children, including open play and retreat, parties and events, and classes for both the child and the adult. With the great escape, parents can (if they so choose) go to another room and unwind or get work done. Meantime, their child will be properly supervised by one of the staff members. The facility is open Monday through Friday, with most weekends closed for private parties (check for availability).

For kids, they will find a sizable playground to keep them occupied and having fun at the same time. Since the park oftentimes has large numbers of adults on its grounds, parents are advised to keep watch of their kids, making sure they are playing and enjoying a day outside. Open from dawn to dusk, the park area is unstaffed. Along with the children's play area, there are picnic tables, barbecue pits and lighted/outdoor basketball courts.
