Explore the photography of Edward S. Curtis, Ansel Adams and Edward Weston in this special exhibit that highlights the evolution of the American West's landscape. Known as some of the most popular photographers during the 20th century, the work of Curtis, Adams and Weston also showcases the style of photography popular at that time. Bower's Museum provides several deals on tickets; during the first Sunday of each month, admission is free. Additionally, those residing in Santa Ana can get in free every Sunday.

Examining the significant influence of Riot Grrrl, known as "the pioneering feminist punk rock movement," among today's creatives, "Alien She" will showcase art from a variety of mediums such as music, performance art, documentary film, the written word, drawings and sculptures. The work of seven artists will be highlighted including Tammy Rae Carland, Faythe Levine, Miranda July, Allyson Mitchell, Stephanie Syjuco, Ginger Brooks Takahashi and L.J. Roberts and will capture the resistance of social constructs in the 90s in punk rock culture. This historic installation will include about 900 artistic pieces indicative of the progressive time period that encouraged individuals to pursue unconventional lines of work such as being writers, artists and activists. Accomplished painter Fred Tomaselli, known for his colorful, detailed artistic style, modified several New York Times covers illustrating the repetition of news over time and the foolish topics presented. "In Barcelona" highlights how print-making became more mainstream during the 20th century. Eight artists ventured to Barcelona for a workshop and helped pave the way for artists creating etchings and lithographs. The eight pioneering artists include Larry Bell, Peter Alexander, Billy Al Bengston, Ed Moses, Eric Orr, Laddie John Dill, Craig Kauffman and Ed Ruscha.
