As the weather warms up it's the perfect time to cool down with a refreshing drink after work. The restaurants below are helping Angelenos get in some quality dining and drinking with new spring happy hour specials. So, grab some friends, co-workers, or sneak in some alone time and head to one of the spots below to eat, drink, and enjoy an evening out on the cheap.

The addition of SOL Cocina in the new Playa Vista Runway has been a very welcome one. SOL captures Baja flavor close to home using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create amazing and authentic Mexican dishes. Grab a seat al fresco in the covered patio, or belly up to the bar and dine on one of several happy hour food specialties. Go for the full Baja experience with an order of Lemon-Mezcal Grilled Chicken Street Tacos for just $4.50, or try the Peel & Eat Shrimp "Cucarachas," featuring six whole shrimps roasted with garlic, coxita, lemon, and chili de arbol for $7.50. Enjoy either an imported or domestic beer for $3.50, or $3 off any glass of wine. Of course their margaritas are a big happy hour draw, and with specials on their SOL House or Frozen Margaritas, Don Julio Margaritas, and the Skinny version of both, it's the perfect place for an after marg. For a special treat, venture off the happy hour menu and order one of the great premium tequilas they offer, and don't miss their famous Grilled Sweet Corn or Guacamole Sol, both finished off table-side.

New to the Hollywood scene, Demitasse Roastery & Kitchen on Cahuenga is serving up not only the coffee, espresso, and tea it's known for at its other locations, but a full menu of eats and libations as well. A daily wine special offers $6 pours, and California craft beers and beer flights are just $5 each. Naturally a place that started as a coffee roastery has some great coffee cocktails as well, all of which are a dollar off during happy hour. Or for a real eye-opening experience, go for the Roaster's Special, which is a shot of espresso and a glass of stout for $5. Because this is a place where you can quench your cocktail, coffee, and cuisine cravings all in one, $6 bites are on the menu too. Try the hearty mini-brisket sandwich, refreshing strawberry gazpacho, or the gooey grilled cheese with Asian pear and Namasu pickles. Whether it's coffee or booze you're after, the shop is open 7:00am - midnight every day to get you what you need.

Whether you're finishing up a long day at the office or an afternoon of sightseeing at LACMA, Spare Tire is the perfect place to end your day. The Miracle Mile gastropub offers a happy hour every day of the week, chock full of great food and drink deals. Pub Beef Sliders and the T.J. Dogg made with an all beef Nathan's Dog are both topped with bacon, and are a meat eater's dream. Or for some lighter, vegetarian fare, the Beet Salad and East L.A. Street Corn are as tasty as they are cheap. For those looking to really indulge, Spare Tire's got you covered with Loaded Tots, Chicken & Waffles, and Short Rib Poutine. The happy hour at Santa Monica's Inotheke is only an hour and a half long, but it packs a punch. Owner Carolos Tomazos has brought together his love of fine wine and comfort food to bring you the best his home island of Cyprus has to offer. Happy hour bar bites from the modern Greek restaurant include lamb meatballs with tzatziki sauce, fava dip, both shrimp and mushroom flatbreads, classic spanakopita, and more, all ranging from $4.00-$6.00. A glass of "Happy Beer" or "Happy Wine" are the perfect ways to wash down your little Greek feast, and run $5.00-$6.00 respectively.

With a happy hour offered every day of the week, neighborhood restaurant Rascal is always a good bet. Daily food and drink specials are plentiful, and will only set you back $6. From a classic burger, to their crispy fried chicken with pancetta gravy, to a mac and cheese decked out with onion puree, this place has some serious eats. Or if you're a breakfast-any-time-of-day type person, try the pancetta egg sandwich with arugula chimichurri. Not to be outdone by all their mouthwatering dishes, Rascal's got some top notch refreshing house libations. Drinks include margaritas, Moscow Mules, specialty wine cocktails (try the house-made red sangria topped with fizzy cava), and various beer and wine options.
