Having the luxury of avoiding supermarket craziness during those times of the day is a positive for many. Restaurants and cafes that offer chef-quality food items that people can "grab-and-go" is always a welcome treat. Today's L.A. offerings feature healthy, gourmet and a glass of wine on the side. Open for lunch or breakfast, Kye's is a perfect place to grab a super healthy quick bite if you're in a rush. This Santa Monica based superfood mecca offers grab-and-go KyeRitos (the genius innovation by owner Jeanne Cheng), which are hybrid burrito wraps (romaine lettuce, nori or chard) filled with a blend of rice and/or quinoa as a base and are packed with fresh produce and superfoods. Lean proteins, mushrooms, goji berries, avocado and Asian root vegetables are just some of the various ingredients used. KyeRito faves include the Rueben, Nori N' Lox (green eggs and smoked salmon), and The Bulgogi (marinated beef, kimchi and Asian pear).

With a full market available, Chef Karo Patpatyan prepares pre-made options for grab-and-go food, and for boozy lunch options the market also offers a wide selection of beer and wine. Check out what's ready to go - freshly made salads (Greek, Israeli couscous, toasted seasonal mushroom mix, caprese), sandwiches (Mary's smoked turkey, Artisan House Reuben, truffle chicken salad, The Hearty Vegan) and sliced deli meats, fresh veggies and more. Located in an old train depot, Artisan House also launched a mobile app for pre-ordering and delivery.

Café Gratitude, located in the Arts District of DTLA, offers plant-based grub at its to-go counter (and in the sit down restaurant of course) for those in a serious rush. Two raw items that are available lunchtime are The Liberated, which is a kelp noodle pasta, and the Happy, a Mediterranean falafel wrap. As for salads, find a selection of pre-packaged ones including I Am Pure, an Asian kale; Fulfilled, a large café salad made of mixed greens, carrots, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado and teriyaki almonds; and Dazzling, Café Gratitude's Caesar which comes with avocado, brazil nut parmesan and an oil-free cashew dressing. Café Gratitude is also known to put out its popular pesto grain salad, I Am Gracious.
