The Italian treat of gelato starting popping up on the dessert side of trendy restaurant menus a few years back. It also made an occasional appearance in ice cream shops in those tubs to the side of the mainstream flavors along with the untouched sherbet. Proving to be the tastiest of all, gelato has taken center stage and is now headlining with shops of its own all over Los Angeles. Thankfully, too much of a good thing is still a good thing when it comes to this semi-frozen delight. While you can get gelato pretty much anywhere, here are the top five places in Los Angeles.
