While many restaurants and cafés throughout L.A. don't allow dogs, there are many hotspots that are happy to welcome your four-legged buddy. So, for an afternoon of great food and relaxation with your furry friend, try these cafés that specialize in delicious dining, handcrafted coffee, and canine love.

Down a brick-paved path with ivy-lined walls is Daily Dose Café, a local coffee shop with European flair. The best part of your morning coffee here will be your pooch enjoying a drink of water, happily offered by the coffee shop. This quaint café, which prides itself on being honest and fresh, offers breakfast and lunch. For some truly delicious fare, try "The Farmer" sandwich, which is filled with roasted squash, avocado, heirloom tomatoes and more yummy goodness on olive bread. The cozy patio is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city with your tail-wagging best bud.

Breakfast menu is offered until 5 p.m. Plus, there's the people watching as well as checking out cute dogs. But, Alcove Café & Bakery has celebrity sightings, too. Keep an eye out for Hollywood stars like, Russell Brand, Katherine Heigl, and Gerard Butler.

Urth Caffé offers organically-grown coffee grounds, along with select teas, some from their very own tea garden. To top off their delicious drinks, baristas turn the foamy-froth of lattes into "Latte Art." The Latte Art comes in all shapes, sizes and animals. The Los Angeles Times named Urth Caffé the "Best Caffé in all of L.A." but they forgot to mention, this place gets two paws up for its friendliness towards its canine clientele.

With its very own pet tie-down area, Charlie's Coffee House also offers water bowls for your loyal pup. This two-story coffee shop is transportation themed with railroad crossing and stop signs, and proudly brews Jameson Brown Coffee which comes from locally roasted coffee beans from Pasadena. The carefully roasted beans are hand-delivered making Charlie's coffee fresh and delicious. This coffee shop is also an art gallery filled with new and exciting works of art. But, the true beauty is just outside Charlie's door where all the four-legged friends are enjoying their coffee break.
