With the weather being as hot as it can be in October and throughout Fall, it may not feel like it, but fall is officially here. And, with it comes a new batch of festively fall desserts. It's the time of year we trade light, summer sweets for rich, deep decadence. Classic flavors like cinnamon, ginger, brown butter, and of course pumpkin start making special appearances on menus across the city. This season's best is no different, with everything from the classic pumpkin pie, to an Indian spin on pot de creme, to a deconstructed coffee cake. With a lineup like this, you'll definitely want to make sure you leave room for dessert.

Pumpkin seems an obvious way to start, but the Pumpkin Ricotta Bombolini at Wildcraft is anything but obvious. Executive Chef Bryant Wigger's take on the traditional Italian donut (bombolone) is one of pure pumpkin genius, prepared with creamy ricotta and pumpkin puree surrounded by crunchy, fried dough. The tower of Italian-style donuts are served with spiced sugar and a warm chocolate ganache, adding an extra touch of love to the doughy dessert. The bar at Wildcraft also serves up seasonal drinks, like the Butter D's, with spiced infused rum, herbed butter, and brown sugar - a perfect accompaniment to put your indulgent dessert over the top.

Lots of apple dishes are popping up around LA right now, but for a unique take on the seasonal favorite, try the Baked Fuji Apple Cannelloni with Caramel Sauce & Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream at Estate. Like the rest of the menu, ingredients in this apple dish are locally sourced and farm-fresh. Enjoy the dessert after one of Estate's globally inspired menu items, like the Spicy Kurobuta Ramen, or BBQ Pork Short Ribs, which also features a fuji apple glaze. Estate opens for dinner at 5:00pm seven nights a week.

An Indian gastropub might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of fall desserts, but Badmaash's Chai-Spiced Chocolate Pot de Crème is full of quintessential fall flavors. Spiced with ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon, this pot de creme perfectly marries the traditional flavors of fall and traditional Indian cuisine. Served up in an adorably shallow mason jar, and topped with whipped cream and roasted almonds, it's hard to resist licking the jar clean. This fall dessert is for the 21 and over crowd. Culver City's The Wallace restaurant puts a spirited twist on the classic candy apple with their Candy Apple Float dessert. With this dessert, caramel apple ice cream is topped with apple cider granita floats in a sea of apple whisky, cider, and ginger ale for a refreshingly naughty way to enjoy the sweet treat. Under 21 crowd fear not though as you can still indulge in one of fall's most loved flavors at The Wallace with the Southern Pecan Pie. Pastry chef Rebecca Morris' pecan pie is served up in a mini skillet with sweet potato ice cream and sage.
