Watering holes around the world have one single custom in common: letting women drink at a lower price than men. Some girls use this as a way to have a good night out with their girlfriends without breaking the bank, while some guys use it as a way to meet and mingle. Whatever the motivation is, Orange County has a ton of locations that have a weekly night dedicated to the fairer sex. Even if the establishment just caters to the female crowd and doesn't necessarily offer them a discount, those lacking a Y-chromosome will find a night solely for the ladies.
Tin Lizzie Saloon
752 Saint Clair St.
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
Sometimes the gay and lesbian bar scene can provide one of the most comfortable and inviting environment possible, and Tin Lizzie Saloon does just that. Ladies, you will not be approached by random guys looking for your number and as long as you don't mind a lady or two giving it a shot, feel free to bring your friends here for a night on the town. The whole place has this semi-swanky vibe with leather, wood and red velvet pool tables. Its recent remodel has brought in a whole new crowd and ladies should not stray too far.

If the words "red velvet cake martini" do nothing for you, then maybe this is not the best option. Everything at the Velvet Lounge is made for loving, and that's just what they'll do, all the way from the excellent staff to the yummy grub. The place is fairly small, so do not bring the 12-deep bachelorette party here, but a good enough gathering should be able to take up a small portion of the dance floor and get down comfortably. With no cover, a burlesque show and a karaoke competition that runs until two in the morning, few places match up to the Velvet Lounge.

Being a lady does not just mean being pink and fluffy, so if you and your friends would rather watch the puck drop then get your nails done, head to the ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney. Beyond the awesome shops and sights in that Anaheim area, ESPN Zone has some excellent entertainment options within its doors. You can sit by the bar and watch the final seconds of overtime or grab a game card and enjoy some of the arcade and carnival-style games. You're sure to meet some like-minded women who do not see Orange County as a dance club and would rather get some aggression out by rooting for the home team.
