Airline Launches New Commuter Flights From Burbank To Silicon Valley
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A new exclusive airline is making it easier for commuters to jet back and forth from the Silicon Valley to the Southland.
Surf Air's first official flight took off Wednesday from Bob Hope International Airport.
The airline operates eight flights a day and members can pay $1,650 a month for unlimited flights between Burbank and San Carlos.
More than 4,500 people have signed up for the service, but Surf Air has so far only accepted 150 clients who are guaranteed seats, the company said.
The service also offers flights from the Bay Area to Santa Barbara and plans to eventually fly to Monterey, Palm Springs, San Diego, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, and the Sonoma/Napa area, as well as other markets nationwide.
