Itching to go on a museum trip? This "Free-for-All" event may be the perfect time to get a fix of the wide range of art, cultural heritage and history scattered around Southern California.

As Los Angeles and Southern California continue to recover after the devastating fires, we hope to offer a space of comfort and connection for people," SoCal Museums President Alexa Nishimoto said. "The Museums Free-for-All has become a touchstone for our community, a time to try something new or return to an old favorite."

The SoCal Museums Free-for-All will mostly be on Sunday, March 16. However, some places will be offering free admission on Saturday, March 15, instead of Sunday.

While visitors will still have to pay for parking at each spot, general admission will be free for many places, including the handful of exhibitions at Museum Row along Miracle Mile. Some galleries either require or encourage advanced reservations, but many more will be open to the public. Some museums have special promotions for Metro riders with a tap card.

The event will not cover specially ticketed exhibits. For more info on the museums participating, click here.
