3 Men, Woman Arrested In Connection With Ongoing Mail Thefts In Fontana

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Four suspects have been arrested in connection with ongoing mail thefts in Fontana, police said Monday.

According to the Fontana Police Department, Duane Goad, 43, Brittany Gund, 23, Forrest Rowe, 45, and Gregory Osborne, 48, were arrested on Thursday.

Goad was arrested for a no bail warrant for violating terms of his probation. Gund and Rowe were taken into custody for conspiring to commit mail theft and identity theft. Osborne was arrested for $1 million in arrest warrants.

A search warrant served on a motel room located in the 1300 block of North E Street in San Bernardino, along with a second residence, located more than 500 profiles that contained true identities, stolen checks, social security numbers, IP addresses and other financial information, detectives said.

Authorities also located tools for altering and creating fake checks along with printers, computers, blank check stock and ink.

The U.S. Postal Service was contacted in regards to the incident.

All four suspects have been booked into the West Valley Detention Center and face charges for identity theft, receiving stolen property, check fraud and conspiracy.
