2nd Man Reported Trying To Take Photos Or Video Of Female Cal State Northridge Students

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Cal State Northridge officials are looking for a second man suspected of trying to take videos or photos of a student on campus.

According to CSUN police, a man pointed a cellphone camera at two students Thursday at the Arbor Grill. When one of the students moved to a different bench, the man repositioned himself and kept pointing the camera at the students, police said.

About 1 p.m. last Monday, a female student reported feeling something push on her ankle as she sat at a desk in Oviatt Library, police said. She looked under the desk and saw a man kneeling with a cellphone in his hand extended toward her. The same thing happened a short time later, and she saw the same man, police said.

Campus police say the descriptions of the suspects in both incidents are similar, but in Thursday's case, the suspect had a curved scar on the right side of his face.

Anyone with information can call CSUN police at (818) 677-3826 or (818) 677-6919.
