"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens is the absolute classic holiday story. Adapted for the stage by Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliot, they call it Dickens's "love letter" to the world. The novella was first published in 1843 looking back to the then-lost traditions of Christmas. Critics see the story as an indictment of industrializing Victorian England, but for the average person, it's all entertainment. Audiences will be delighted as Ebenezer Scrooge struggles with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. This character undergoes a metamorphosis, changing from a cold miser to a generous and kind man.
