Throughout the Summer months, Street Food Cinema offers Angelenos a chance to get outside, take in a popular movie, listen to live music from some of the top bands and dine on offerings from some of the city's best food trucks. The weekly event, which goes until the end of October and alternates venues, features well known movies along with delectable eats making it one of the city's best kept secrets. Aside from some of today's most current movies, food trucks are on hand from some of the city's best eateries. The Autry National Center of the American West presents their 2017 Sizzling Summer Nights series with a lineup of renowned bands of the salsa and Latin fusion music scene. Held Thursday evenings from July 6, 2017 – August 17, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., this is all-ages outdoor dance party. There's even a separate children's dance floor. Suffering from two left feet? Don't worry as there is a salsa instructor to help! Food and drink, including tacos is available for purchase as well The event is free for Autry members, $12 for non-members, $8 for students and seniors and just $6 for children aged 3-12.

Art lovers, community friends, architecture and history buffs, and anyone looking for something fun to do, join together on the 2nd Thursday of every month, in Downtown Los Angeles for LA's Downtown Art Walk. Many of The Downtown Art Walk activities - including local shopping, dining and entertainment, in addition to the gallery showings - happen in and around the galleries predominantly on Spring and Main streets between 2nd and 9th streets. Hours vary by gallery, but can typically range from noon – 10pm. Four tours are available too: Art Walk Gallery Tour, Kinder Walk, Collectors' Tour, and the Historic Core Mural Tour. Tours are self-guided and free. Times and locales vary.

AltaMed's premier fundraiser, East LA Meets Napa, is celebrating 10 years! Spend your evening with celebrities Gabriela Dias, Eddie Olmos and Cheech Marin, snacking on incredible food and sipping amazing wine from Latino producers, chefs, and representatives from 30 restaurants and 30 wineries. This event includes a VIP pre-event reception, live entertainment, dancing, all the food you can eat, all the wine you can drink, and even a surprise or two. East LA Meets Napa is AltaMed's highest attended annual fundraising event. This year's event, East LA Meets Napa & Bordeaux, will feature libations from the famed Napa Valley, through various California wine regions, all the way back to Bordeaux, France. After 10 successful years, they're back again to celebrate our favorite four-legged friends for an eleventh time! Downtown LA's dogs are invited to bring their people to a day of mingling, music, pet product discovery and the opportunity to welcome new fur babies into the family through on-site pet adoptions. Your dogs get to celebrate the day by making new friends, and so will you. Please make sure all pups are on leash and are social animals. Downtown dogs only. Free admission and $8 for parking.

This summer, there's something different to experience at the L.A. Zoo. At Roaring Nights At The L.A. Zoo, a different kind of wildlife takes over the property as the popular summer music series features indie bands, DJs, full bars, and L.A.'s favorite food trucks, as well as pop-up zookeeper talks and animal encounters. New this year! Guests are invited to visit more of the Zoo with an expanded route open from 6 – 8 p.m. On June 23, 2017, they will be featuring a 60's Summer Safari night wit a groovy all ages surfing adventure in honor of the Zoo's 50th Anniversary. On July 21, experience country night where you can boot-scoot and boogie throughout the zoo on a great summer evening. Finally, head to the Los Angeles Zoo on September 15th and experience an 80's vs. 90's evening where both decades go head to head. There will be plenty of 80's and 90[s music, as well as fun costumes, and plenty of food trucks like Pico House, Peaches Smokehouse, The Grilled Cheese Truck and many others.

Promoting the four South Bay beach cities, The City of Manhattan Beach is this year's host for the annual International Surf Festival. Participants from 8 to 80 compete in an assortment of beachy events, including a lifeguard medley relay, the Dwight Crum pier to pier swim, and the Charley Saikley 6-man volleyball tournament. Other top events include a surfing contest a bodysurfing contest, a beach run, paddleboard races, and youth events.

This might be the only bike event you can do without a bike! CicLAvia was born in 2008, out of a belief that open streets events could address active transportation, urban land use and public health needs in Los Angeles. Inspired by the ciclovía events that started 40 years ago in Bogotá, Colombia, the first CicLAvia was held in October of 2010. Four years and ten CicLAvias later, hundreds of thousands of people have explored more than 100 miles of open streets in Los Angeles. This summer's route will focus on Glendale meeting Atwater Village.

Echo Park Rising, free for all pages, is, perhaps surprisingly, not a statement on rent prices in this hot Eastside neighborhood. It's actually a 7-year-old music festival, showing off everything that makes this area great, including abundant spontaneity and creative energy, which is probably why the lineup hasn't been released. Entrance is free.

Now in its 14th year, FYF Fest is back with a musical vengeance. Shining with stars like Nine Inch Nails, Frank Ocean, Bjork, Missy Elliot, A Tribe Called Quest, MGMT, Thundercat and many others at the top of year's lineup. The festival is also featuring favorites like The Drums, Kehlani, Nicholas Jaar, Flying Lotus and many more. FYF Fest is for all ages. Weekend GA prices are $329, whereas VIP Passes are $549. The venue opens at 5pm on Friday, 2pm on Saturday and Sunday and will take place rain or shine.

Grab thine picnic and get thee hence anon! Or something. The important thing is, there are 100% FREE performances of some of Shakespeare's classics in Griffith Park all summer long. All you need to bring is a blanket or low-backed chair to sit on, and maybe a sweater and some snacks, of course. All performances are at inside the famed Griffith Park, making for a spectacular setting to see a play at.
