12-Year-Old Boy Dies In 1st Story Fall In Palmdale

PALMDALE (CBS) — A 12-year-old boy has died after apparently falling out of a bedroom window in Palmdale.

The incident, which occurred in the 37300 block of Populous Avenue, was reported about 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to authorities.

Sheriff's deputies tell CBS2 and KCAL9 they believe the fall was an accident. The boy was reportedly playing with his sister when he crashed through a first-story bedroom window.

He was rushed by an ambulance and then airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It is believed he died as a result of injuries sustained in the fall, officials said.
