10 People Exposed To Mercury Spill In Simi Valley, Several Homes Evacuated
SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Officials evacuated a half dozen homes Monday afternoon as crews respond to a mercury spill in Simi Valley.
Ten people have been exposed, including three firefighters, according to the Ventura County Fire Department. No one was taken to the hospital.
The leak has been contained.
Two homes were sheltered in place.
Simi Valley police are asking the public to avoid using Cochran Street between Tapo Street and Tapo Canyon Road until further notice.
