Dallas Man Shocked By Mother, Sister's Murder

DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - Within a matter of moments, 22-year-old Tasmin Smith lost his mother and his sister.  Police say 43-year old Toya Smith and 17-year-old Tasmia Allen were both shot and killed Wednesday night by his mother's boyfriend, Erbie Bowser.

As he copes with the loss of two of the most important women in his life, Smith says he is also trying to stay strong for his younger brother, who was critically injured in the shooting.

"It don't feel real right now. I know it's real when I see my little brother, and I'm just trying to stay strong for him. That's all I can do...see him come out of here."

Smith's brother, 14-year-old Storm Malone, is fighting for his life at Parkland Hospital.  Smith says Malone was shot twice.

Court documents revealed the fourth person in the home, 17-year-old Dazmin Mitchell, identified Bowser as the shooter.  Mitchell was also shot and is recovering from her injuries.

Smith says he disapproved of his mother's relationship with Bowser and moved out of her house because of it. He describes it as a tumultuous one.

"My mom was a strong person and she wanted to handle it by herself and she did the best she could, the best she knew she could."

Smith shared one of the last photos he took with his baby sister, and thanked the Duncanville high school coaches and teachers for their support.  His sister would have been a senior at DHS this fall.

Now his focus is on making sure his little brother makes it out of the hospital alive.

"He is going to make it.  He's going to walk out of here.  I'll be ready when we walk about. I told him I wouldn't leave him until we walk out of here."
