Dallas Homeowner Kills One, Wounds Another In Burglary
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas homeowner has shot and killed one burglar and wounded a second.
The woman came home early Saturday morning in the 400 block of Bolero. She found her front door had been kicked in.
She was able to see one of the intruders inside her home, and went back to her car to get a gun out.
The woman shot at the suspects. One was hit, but ran to a neighboring house, where he collapsed. He was transported to Baylor University Medical Center, where he later died.
Another man ran out of the front door, and was also shot by the woman. A third man jumped from a bedroom window. Police caught up with the two at a nearby convenience store about a mile away.
The man with the gun shot wound and was taken to Baylor. The third man acknowledged his part in the break in and was taken to jail.
Both have outstanding warrants, and will be charged with burglary.
The dead burglar has been identified as 19-year-old Larry Williams. No charges will be filed against the woman.
