Stop using daycare prices as an excuse not to work out. Dallas gyms know your woes and they're on your side. Check out these awesome, local options for sweating it out without sweating the small stuff.

Price: $4.00 per hour (members), $5.00 per hour (non-members). Time limit is 3 hours.
Hours: Mon to Sun – 8:30a.m. to 2:00p.m., holidays –9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; reservations required Sat, Sun and holidays

The Telos Fitness Center offers a safe environment for children of all ages with care provided by experienced professionals. Its nursery includes infant beds and swings, Wii, games and toys. An activity space is also available for older children. Parents may watch their children play from the cardiovascular equipment televisions.

Price: Free for family members only; $15.00 per visit per child for non-family members
Time limit: two hours per session, not to exceed 12 hours in a week
Hours: Mon to Sat – 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Mon to Thurs – 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

KidsPlace provides care for children 8 weeks to 9 years old and the opportunity to make new friends or just explore the Space Maze. Please remember the child care staff must maintain a 4:1 ratio for children ages 8 weeks to 2 years old, and bring comfort items for young kiddos who need a little something extra while mom and dad work out. School-age children are allowed after school hours only.

Childcare is available while members use either the Cooper Fitness Center or Cooper Spa. There is a nominal fee for children ages 2 months to 12 years. Call (972) 239-6171 to make a reservation and arrange "play with a purpose" for up to three hours per day.

The White Rock YMCA provides a fun play facility called Kids Activity Center with a 10-punch card for members who aren't gold or platinum. Revive your health all month; revive your relationship once a month at parent's night out.


Club members are offered two free hours of childcare per day and children may play, climb or take swimming lessons. This is the kind of place that wears down the kids while you sweat out the stress. They'll pick up valuable life skills while you perk up that tired behind.
