ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Huong Ly, 63, and her husband Long Nguyen, 72, have been identified as the couple found killed in their Arlington apartment Sunday.

Police found the bodies after a family member visited their unit in the 3600 block of Waverly Drive and found a window open. Department spokeswoman Tiara Richard said their residence had been ransacked.

Ly and Nugyen attended a birthday party at 5 p.m. Saturday and returned at 10 p.m., which was the last time they were seen alive. A report from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner showed Ly was found in a closet.

Anyone with information pertaining to this crime is asked to call Det. Byron Stewart at 817.459.5691 or Crime Stoppers at 817.469.8477.

Oak Farms Dairy has issued a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and a grand jury indictment of those responsible.

"The smallest thing could actually turn out to be a break in the case, and so we have our crime scene technicians going through the entire crime scene to make sure they pull every little bit of element from fingerprints to DNA to figure out what could lead us to a suspect," Richard said.

A neighbor described the two as kind, caring individuals "who wouldn't hurt a fly." They lived in the subsidized housing complex since 2008. Nugyen worked seven days a week as a clothing tailor.

"They were very friendly," said Susan Glodas," Always smiling, saying hi."

Police have not released a cause of death pending an autopsy. On Monday, crime scene tape remained around the apartment alongside flower bouquets and makeshift memorials for the two.
