5 Things In DFW That Exist Nowhere Else In The U.S.

Every town in America has something that no other city has. There are giant skyscrapers all over the country. There are amusement parks from coast to coast. However, when it comes to the DFW area and the surrounding towns, there is a lot that people from other areas of the country have never seen.

That moment has been memorialized and frozen in time with the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. This is where Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly shot and killed the President and there is a virtual timeline that people can walk through in the museum. They can also look out at the exact location the assassination took place and even see the grassy knoll that has lived on in infamy.

People can still tour the Southfork Ranch and see the location of the greatest nighttime soap opera to ever air on television.
State Fair Of Texas

www.bigtex.comThe State Fair of Texas takes place every year and includes one of the greatest football games in the nation when the Oklahoma Sooners travel south and the Texas Longhorns travel north to meet in the middle in the center of Dallas. When people arrive at Fair Park, they get an impressive site with the 55-foot-tall statue named Big Tex. The statue was originally built in 1949, and has gone through various changes. The most recent was after it caught fire in 2012 and returned in 2013.
