Tigers Anxiously Await Fister's Return
Jim Leyland can see things getting better for his slumping Tigers -- when Doug Fister rejoins his rotation.
Fister is scheduled for a rehab start Wednesday in Toledo and, if he comes out of that okay, the right-hander is scheduled to be activated and pitch in Seattle against his former team.
The absence of Fister and poor starts by Rick Porcello and Max Scherzer in the last 10 days have put unexpected pressure on Detroit's bullpen.
"I really believe when we get Fister back and rolling we'll be fine," Leyland said.
Look at Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Yankees in New York, the club's sixth in seven games.
