Ramp Closures, Lane Realignment Will Affect Drivers This Weekend

By Joel Hillan

DENVER (CBS4) - A few ramp closures and a lane realignment could make for a tough drive as you head out on the roads this weekend.

Southbound I-25 Ramp to Santa Fe

Starting Friday, November 20th at 9 p.m. and going until Monday November 23rd at 5 a.m. the ramp from southbound Interstate 25 to Santa Fe will be closed.

Crews have completed the new bridge over the South Platte River and will spend the weekend making final preparations to move traffic onto this ramp.

The detour during the closure will be Broadway to Mississippi.

Eastbound C-470 to Southbound I-25

The ramp from eastbound C-470 to southbound I-25 will close for the weekend starting at 10 p.m. Friday, November 20th and will reopen Monday, November 23rd at 5:30 a.m.

The detour will be C-470 to NB I-25 to Dry Creek where drivers will finally be turned around to head in the southbound direction.

Lane Realignment, US 36 Express Lanes

You will be able to ride the US 36 Express Lanes for free this weekend. Crews will be closing down one of the free lanes either direction to repair the roadway. They will shift those lanes into the Express Lanes to minimize impact from the closure. The lane realignment will be in place starting Saturday, November 21st at 9 a.m. and go until Monday, November 23rd at 5:30 a.m.
