Construction Worker Alive After Suffering Heart Attack On High Rise

DENVER (CBS4) - A construction worker on the job at a new high rise in Denver had to be rescued after suffering a heart attack on the 23rd floor Monday afternoon.

The man was working on the building locating at 14th and Larimer streets when he reportedly lost consciousness. While someone worked to revive him, rescuers went into action.

The elevator only went to the 19th floor and firefighters had to conduct a technical rescue with ladders and a basket to bring the man down four floors. The elevator brought him down the rest of the way.

The man was breathing when he was rushed to the hospital.

The man's name hasn't been released.
