Law proposed in Springfield in honor of Barrington student

It’s been two years since Barrington student Marin Lacson was killed by a Metra train. Since then, community members have pushed the village of Barrington to install a pedestrian gate where she lost her life; no gate exists today. A bill backed by several state lawmakers called Marin’s law was filed in Springfield on Thursday.
